Head of Talent & Culture

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Midrand has an opportunity available for a Head of Talent & Culture to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to build an integrated and high-impact talent and culture function. The role exists to ensure that talent is effectively attracted, developed, engaged, and retained, while actively driving a values-based, inclusive culture that supports long-term business growth and transformation. This leader will harness data-driven insights, strategic partnership with stakeholders, and innovative solutions to drive the development of a high-performing team. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing a comprehensive talent strategy that aligns with the company’s overall vision and goals; • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners; • Designing and delivering training programs, workshops, and other developmental initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge; • Conducting regular talent reviews and succession planning to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time; • Collaborating with HR and other business functions to develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices that support a positive work environment and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and driving cultural transformation. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail or pharmaceutical industry.
