Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or a related field;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality, of which at least 2 years in a coordinator position;
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management from China;
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Tools;
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and 8D;
  • Experience with automotive customer and supplier quality management;

Responsibilities:

· Manages and ensures that all internal systems and procedures are updated, reviewed and amended to meet the requirements of external certification bodies;

· Manages and ensures that all updates to quality documentation and communication are carried forward as "lessons learned" from quality concerns in contracts with new customers;

· Is responsible for managing quality engineers and technicians in resolving internal quality issues;

· Leads regular inspection meetings with representatives of the relevant departments to establish an action plan for quality improvement;

· Together with the supplier quality assurance function, reduces the impact of non-conforming supplier materials on the quality of the production area;

· Develops, implements and manages key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility;

· Sets department objectives/KPIs, reviews and evaluates the ongoing performance of direct reports;

· Ensures KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management and reporting;

· Performs risk assessments of the processes and tasks within the department;

· Manages and develops a quality operations team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice, added value and continuous improvement;

· Facilitates team meetings for root cause analysis and ensures the implementation of corrective measures for issues in the quality area;

· Establishes and improves quality instructions, standards and documentation;

· Stays up to date with any changes that may affect the supply and demand of required products and materials and informs stakeholders of any impact;

· Ensures the implementation of the people strategy within the area of responsibility;

· Manages and leads the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels;

· Reviews and updates the training matrix for subordinate staff. Conducts performance appraisals and risk assessments;

· Provides technical expertise to the team;

· Works as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operations, by recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and improvements to processes and procedures in order to optimize results and improve delivery quality, in line with quality standard requirements, Fuerda quality standards and customer requirements;

· Contributes to creating and implementing a best-practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to support and improve operational performance;

· Contributes to new business initiatives and projects, reviews and communicates the impact on quality activities;

· Liaises and communicates with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers / Liaises with suppliers to resolve quality issues;

· Ensures the function operates in compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and visitors;

· Leads, develops and motivates subordinate employees in line with the company's leadership principles;

· Participates in personnel decisions in collaboration with the Human Resources department and the direct superior;

· Communicates the department's values, policies and procedures to the team and ensures they are followed;

· Is involved in team recruitment, team development, performance evaluation and the management of disciplinary matters;

· Performs duties responsibly in line with the organization's rules and goals, taking into account the impact of their work on the entire company;

· Informs the direct superior of any deviations or issues arising in the activities they perform and coordinate.
