Head of Quality Assurance – Industrial Corrosion Protection (m/f/d)

Our Client

A traditional company in industrial corrosion protection with over 120 years of experience. It manufactures and coats steel and stainless steel tanks as well as piping systems for the chemical and energy sectors and employs around 60-65 specialists at the Bockenem site. The company is part of an international ownership structure and pursues a growth-oriented strategy.

Your Tasks

• Implementation, maintenance, and further development of QM systems according to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, DGR 2014/68/EU, and SCC-VAZ 2021
• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the QA team (2 employees)
• Contact person for customers and suppliers on all quality-related issues
• Planning and execution of system, surveillance, and certification audits
• Analysis of internal errors and customer complaints, derivation, and follow-up of corrective actions
• Organization and support of acceptance inspections in tank and corrosion protection construction
• Execution or coordination of non-destructive testing (e.g., RT Level II)

Your Profile

• 5-10 years of experience in quality management of steel tank or apparatus construction, including leadership experience
• Sound knowledge of the standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001, DGR 2014/68/EU, SCC-VAZ 2021, AD 2000, EN 13445, and 14890
• Practical experience in welding technology and pressure equipment directive
• Fluent German language skills (C1), English desirable
• Analytical, structured way of working and strong customer orientation

What Doesn't Work Here

• No experience in steel tank or corrosion protection – lack of expertise is a dealbreaker
• Preference for pure home office – presence at the site is mandatory
• Insufficient German language skills – communication in German is essential
• Desire for pure remote leadership – hands-on presence is expected
