About the Role

As Head of Project Management (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the project portfolio at our production sites in Kaiseraugst and Altendorf. You will lead a team of Project Managers and ensure the successful implementation of our international customer projects. In doing so, you will actively drive the further development of project management and contribute to implementing projects more efficiently, transparently, and profitably.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Leadership and further development of the PMO team across both locations

• Steering and prioritization of the project portfolio in coordination with company objectives

• Ensuring the successful implementation of complex customer projects with regard to quality, costs, and deadlines

• Active management of risks, changes, and project profitability

• Monitoring of relevant KPIs and promotion of continuous improvements

• Close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Service

• Further development of project management standards, processes, and methods

• Professional stakeholder and customer management throughout the entire project lifecycle

What You Bring

• Several years of experience in project management as well as leadership experience in a comparable role

• Experience in the successful management of complex customer projects

• Experience in mechanical and plant engineering or a comparable industrial environment

• Technical university degree or comparable qualification

• Entrepreneurial thinking and a good understanding of costs, margins, and project profitability

• Project management certifications such as PMP or IPMA are an advantage

• Strong communication, leadership, and change management skills

• Fluent German and English language skills

• Willingness to travel between the locations as well as to international customers (approx. 20–30%)
