For the next growth phase, we are looking for you as Head of Product (m/f/d). You will report directly to our CEO and, together with your team, shape the product that will make Doonails continue to grow. ✨
Your Role & Your Impact ⚡️
As Head of Product, you will be responsible for the performance of our entire product portfolio and set the product direction for the next 1-5 years, across all our categories, from Press-Ons and Gel Strips to Care and Accessories.
Your Key Responsibilities 👩💻👨💻
Product Vision & Roadmap
- You will develop a clear product strategy over 1-5 years and translate it into a prioritized roadmap - based on customer benefit, business impact, and resources.
- You will systematically scout beauty and nail trends and recognize early on which formats, designs, and innovations will become relevant for Doonails.
- You will be responsible for the qualitative and commercial performance of the entire portfolio - across all categories (Press-Ons, Gel Strips, Care, Accessories) - and ensure, together with Retail and E-Commerce, that every product is market-ready and sales-ready.
- You will accompany the product lifecycle from idea to launch and continuously develop the assortment.
- You will keep an eye on revenue, margin, and growth, and make your prioritization decisions data-driven.
- You will manage regulatory requirements (product safety, labeling, compliance) in terms of timing, together with our Regulatory/QA team - the technical depth lies there, you will ensure clean implementation in the product.
- You will lead and develop our Product Team (6+ people) in Cologne: technically, strategically, and culturally.
- You will further expand the Product Team so that each category (Press-Ons, Gel Strips, Care, Accessories) is independently positioned.

What You Bring 🤝
Experience: At least 5 years in product management in the beauty sector, ideally 2 years in a leadership role. You have brought products from idea to launch independently.
Formulation Know-how: Knowledge of ingredients and formulations (INCI, active ingredients, compatibilities).
Product & Trend Sensitivity: Strong sense for product, branding, and beauty/nail trends, combined with a genuine customer understanding (Customer First).
Structure & Data Strength: Clarity and data-driven decision-making ability, strategic foresight, and a hands-on mentality all in one.
Communication Skills: Confident in cross-functional exchange and with external partners such as labs, manufacturers, and fragrance houses.
Location: You live in or around Cologne and can be on-site with the team regularly.
