Pammys has grown to over 1 million customers in just four years. Today, over 150 employees are working to make Pammys an international footwear brand.

With our growth, the complexity of our product development is also increasing.

For this, we are looking for a Head of Product Development (m/f/d) to take our product development to the next level, both technically and operationally.

• Overall responsibility for the product development of our footwear collections from the initial concept to production release
• Technical and disciplinary leadership and development of the Product Development Team
• Direct management and close collaboration with factories, manufacturers, and suppliers in China
• Responsibility for sampling, fittings, material selection, construction, quality standards, and production releases
• Management of all relevant timelines and ensuring that developments are completed on time, with the right quality, and at economically strong conditions
• Consistent troubleshooting of quality, material, production, or delivery problems
• Regular and also short-term travel to China and other production sites when issues need to be resolved on-site
• Close coordination with Footwear Design, Merchandising, Quality, Sourcing, and Director Product
• Development and optimization of products, materials, fits, constructions, and production processes
• Management of suppliers regarding quality, speed, costs, and technical implementation
• Establishment of clear development processes, standards, and responsibilities
• Identification of risks in the development process and proactive countermeasures
• Continuous monitoring of material, production, and footwear trends

• Many years of experience in Footwear Product Development, ideally in a fast-growing footwear, fashion, or consumer brand
• Several years of experience in leading and developing Product Development Teams
• Very in-depth China experience and proven collaboration with Chinese factories and suppliers
• Robust network of manufacturers, factories, and relevant partners in China
• Very good understanding of footwear construction, materials, fit, lasts, soles, components, and production processes
• Proven experience in sampling, fittings, quality control, costing, and production releases
• High technical competence and the ability to solve quality and production problems directly with factories
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing international suppliers
• Very high willingness to travel, especially to China
• Willingness to be on-site even on short notice when critical product or production problems need to be resolved
• High resilience, decisiveness, and strong hands-on mentality
• You work in a solution-oriented manner and take responsibility until the final result
• You are quick to grasp things, pragmatic in implementation, and at the same time extremely precise when it comes to product quality
• Very good English skills, other relevant language skills are a plus
