Head of Procurement

Position: Head of Procurement Industry : Electronics Manufacturing Services Work Location: Mysore, Karnataka (India) Job Summary: The Procurement Head will be responsible for overseeing the entire Supply Chain Management (SCM) operations for the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS). This leadership role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, production planning, inventory management, and demand planning. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing effective SCM strategies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to customers. • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain. • Analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform procurement decisions. • Developing and managing budgets for procurement activities. • Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and international standards. • Leading a team of procurement professionals to achieve business objectives. • Staying up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve SCM processes. • Providing thought leadership and strategic guidance to the organization on supply chain management. • Developing and implementing training programs for procurement staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. • Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and inventory levels. • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve procurement-related issues and improve overall business performance. • Ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and international standards. • Developing and implementing processes for managing returns, repairs, and replacements of products. • Providing regular progress reports to senior management on SCM performance metrics, including cost savings, inventory turns, and supplier performance. • Collaborating with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. • Ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and international standards.
