Job Summary A leading commercial risk specialist in Southern Africa is seeking a Head of Pricing to lead pricing strategy across multiple short-term insurance lines, including Commercial, Personal, Marine, Engineering, and Hospitality. This senior role will oversee a team of ~10 and play a key role in pricing model development, portfolio analysis, and stakeholder alignment to support the business’s financial goals. Key Responsibilities Develop, assess, and optimize pricing strategies. Lead competitor analysis, incorporating market dynamics into pricing decisions. Oversee and mentor a team of pricing professionals. Develop and maintain pricing models. Analyze portfolio performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with underwriting, sales, and claims teams. Present pricing recommendations to senior management. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related). Extensive experience in short-term insurance pricing. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
