The Head of Portfolio Management plays a pivotal role in this, working across the enterprise to help us focus on the work that matters most and delivers the greatest value. This role sits at the heart of decision-making, partnering closely with the Strategy & Business Planning team, senior leaders and delivery teams, and reporting to the GM Portfolio Governance and Enablement. You'll bring clarity to complex choices, balance competing priorities, and ensure our portfolio of projects and programmes are aligned, achievable and delivering real outcomes. In this role, you'll be * Leading enterprise-wide prioritisation of projects and programmes to align with strategic goals * Owning and driving delivery of the enterprise portfolio pipeline, ensuring focus stays on what's most important * Guiding complex trade-off decisions at all levels, including ELT, with transparency and sound judgement * Managing portfolio-level dependencies, risks, capacity and financial performance * Providing clear, high-quality insights and reporting to support informed governance and decision-making * Leading and developing the Portfolio Management team, building capability and maturity across the enterprise Mōu - About you You're comfortable operating at scale and bringing structure to complexity. You've worked in large, complex organisations and understand how enterprise portfolios, capital investment and governance really work in practice, not just on paper. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and can influence decisions even when the conversation is challenging. You're a strategic thinker with a pragmatic mindset, able to balance ambition with delivery reality. Just as importantly, you bring a people-centred approach, leading with integrity, collaboration and a strong safety-first mindset. You'll combine that with: * Significant experience in portfolio, programme or strategic planning roles within a large enterprise * Confidence working with senior and executive leaders on prioritisation, investment and trade-offs * Strong understanding of financial governance, capital investment and portfolio-level planning * Proven ability to build relationships and influence without relying on authority * Clear, credible communication skills, including the ability to say no constructively * Leadership experience, with a focus on developing people and building high-performing teams He Aha Te Pai - What you'll love about us!
