Head of Portfolio Completion

Description We are the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation. We are proud of our purpose: sustainable investment delivering strong returns for all New Zealanders. We invest government contributions to the New Zealand Super Fund, a global investment fund helping to ensure the country can pay for the growing cost of universal superannuation (New Zealand Superannuation) in the future. At the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Portfolio Completion to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a portfolio completion team, ensuring that all investment decisions align with our purpose and values. This role is critical to achieving our goal of delivering strong returns while also considering the long-term sustainability of our investments. Key responsibilities: • Lead a portfolio completion team to ensure timely and effective completion of investment portfolios; • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including investment teams, risk management, and compliance; • Collaborate with other teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for portfolio completion; • Analyze and interpret data to inform investment decisions and optimize portfolio performance; • Ensure that all investment decisions align with our purpose and values; • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the New Zealand Super Fund's investment strategy, risk tolerance, and return expectations. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; or equivalent experience; • At least 5 years' experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, or a related field; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders; • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines; • Strong understanding of investment markets, instruments, and regulations.
