About Synargy With a history spanning more than 20 years, Synargy has become one of Australasia’s largest furniture wholesalers, supplying quality lounge, dining, and bedroom furniture, along with innovative lifestyle products to leading retailers across Australia and New Zealand. Operating from offices in Brisbane and Christchurch, and with warehousing in both countries, Synargy moves high volumes at scale and continues to expand internationally, including into the UK. The team at Synargy are experienced, capable, and proud of what they do. But with growth continuing at pace, now is the time to bring in an operations manager to take on a leadership role. Synargy need someone who can challenge existing ways of working, streamline operations, and inject further commercial focus.

We are looking for an experienced operations leader ready to step in, shake things up, and deliver proactive, seamless operations across the business.

About the opportunity As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Operations reports to the Group General Manager and leads a capable team to deliver operational efficiency and commercial excellence. With oversight across Operations, Logistics, Service and Quality, this role is pivotal in driving performance, growth, and customer experience across Australia, New Zealand, and into new markets.

With a background that blends financial acumen and operational expertise, you are confident making tough calls, negotiating contracts, and ensuring accountability at every level. You thrive in environments where change is needed and bring the resilience, pragmatism, and energy to challenge the status quo while keeping people engaged and focused on outcomes.
Strategic in your thinking yet hands-on in execution, you are equally comfortable shaping the big picture as you are delving into the detail to drive efficiencies. You are motivated by growth, improvement, and impact, and you have the interpersonal skills to influence, mentor, and lead teams through change. With a sharp eye for process and continuous improvement, you are ready to step into a role where your leadership will shape the future direction of Synargy.
