Job description
A prestigious boys' preparatory school is seeking a Head of Music to lead its music department. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Music, experience in teaching from Grade RR to Grade 7, and proficiency in piano performance. Responsibilities include conducting choir and orchestras, leading performances, and fostering a love for music within students. A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is advantageous. The role is aimed at contributing positively to the school's community by developing and implementing music programs that cater to diverse student needs and abilities. This includes planning and coordinating concerts, recitals, and other musical events, as well as collaborating with teachers and staff to integrate music into the curriculum. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for music education and have excellent communication and leadership skills.
