Head of Merchandise Planning

Job description

We’re looking for a Head of Merchandise Planning to set strategy, optimise inventory, and deliver profitable growth for Seafolly, Tigerlily, and JETS across global markets.

In this role, you will:

Define merchandise strategies, range plans, and budgets using historical data and market insights.
Align seasonal and annual plans with brand objectives and customer trends.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and open-to-buy management across multiple channels.
Oversee inventory planning and optimisation across global warehouses.
Manage product lifecycle, including launch timings, markdowns, and trade behaviour.
Develop range architecture and global forecasting to ensure balanced assortments.
Utilise advanced planning tools (AP21) to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Deliver accurate reporting and actionable insights to inform future strategies.

What you’ll bring:

Extensive experience in merchandise planning and inventory management within global fashion retail.
Proven ability to increase profitability through inventory optimisation.
Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and advanced Excel proficiency.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a track record of team development.
Experience with AP21 or similar advanced planning tools.
Impeccable organisational, budgeting, and project management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This role is based in our Support Centre in Alexandria, NSW four days per week, with the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.
