Job description

NexDash builds Europe's first Neo-Carrier: a fully electric, KI-orchestrated, and long-term autonomous platform for emission-free road freight transport.
We take over medium-sized logistics companies, electrify their fleets, and connect vehicles, energy, financing, and operational control in an integrated system.

The core is NexOS, our own KI-platform for routing, load planning, fleet operation, maintenance, and financing.

Our goal: Green Logistics made in Europe. NexDash is strongly financed and supported by leading European and US-American VCs. Our team comes from logistics, engineering, finance, operations, and corporate development.

About this
Our pipeline of medium-sized logistics companies is filled. Now we're looking for the person who makes systematic personal conversations, qualified opportunities, and signed transactions out of this pipeline.

Tasks

As Head of M&A Origination, you will be responsible for identifying, approaching, and qualifying takeover candidates in the DACH region - primarily family-owned logistics companies with succession, growth, or transformation needs.

You are the first personal interface between NexDash and entrepreneurs who want to lead their life's work into the next generation.

Specifically:

● Active research and approach suitable logistics companies in the DACH region
● Building personal relationships with owners, CEOs, and entrepreneur families
● Conducting initial conversations, on-site meetings, and opportunity qualification
● Understanding the most important deal drivers: customer structure, fleet, driver base, profitability, succession, debt, investment needs
● Requesting relevant documents: BWA, SuSa, annual financial statements, fleet structure,
employee overview, customer, and revenue structure
● Structured documentation of every opportunity in the Deal Funnel
● Clean handover of qualified deals to COO and CFO, who are responsible for due diligence, structuring, and closing
● High outreach frequency, follow-up, and relationship building

This role is not just a corporate M&A role at your desk. You research,
call, drive out, listen, build trust on, and stay consistent.

Metric for success

At any given time, there must be at least five qualified candidates in active conversation phase with financial documents received.

Qualified means:

● Strategically suitable for NexDash
● Personal relationship established with the owner or CEO
● Genuine sales, succession, or partnership interest recognizable
● Relevant financial and operational documents received
● Clear handover to COO and CFO possible

Qualification

● Mittelstands understanding. You know how family-owned entrepreneurs think, decide, and build trust. You speak with owners and CEOs on eye level, not like a consultant with a pitch deck.
● Sourcing- or sales-DNA. You have experience with active approach, high outreach frequency, and consistent follow-up - perhaps in direct sales, business development, fleet sales, financing, insurance, logistics, succession consulting, or M&A origination.
● Strong conversation leadership. You can listen, understand objections, respectfully address sensitive topics like succession, debt, employees, and life's work - and still aim for a clear result.
● Commercial judgment. You don't have to be a CFO, but you recognize quickly whether a company is economically interesting, operationally challenging, or strategically relevant.
● Fluent German in word and writing. This role lives from language, trust, and nuances in the German Mittelstand.
● Travel readiness at least 50%. The decisive conversations take place on site.

Desired

● Experience in the logistics industry, e.g., logistics company, KEP, contract logistics, charter, fleet management, truck leasing, or transport financing
● Experience in M&A sourcing, succession processes, or Mittelstands sales
● Existing network to logistics companies, tax consultants, auditors,
industry associations, OEMs, leasing companies, or financial partners

Benefits

● Attractive basic salary and performance-based bonus, linked to clearly defined deal progress from qualified documents to LOI and closing
● VSOP participation in the company's success
● Direct reporting line to COO, close cooperation with CEO and CFO
● Clear responsibility for one of the most important value drivers of NexDash:
proprietary acquisitions
● Office at Savignyplatz in Berlin
● A strongly financed company, supported by leading European and US-American VCs
● The chance to build a new industrial platform in Europe
