Head of Legal & DPO (8 to 15 PQE) – High-Growth TMT/FinTech Company

We are exclusively working with our client, a fast-growing TMT / FinTech platform with significant and expanding operations across the region. Backed by strong leadership and a clear growth strategy, the company is looking to appoint a Head of Legal to lead and scale the legal function, support senior management, and act as a trusted advisor to the business as it continues to grow and mature. This is a highly visible leadership HQ/regional role, involving close interaction with senior stakeholders across the organization. The successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic legal counsel to the business, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, while also driving process improvements and efficiencies within the legal function. Key responsibilities will include: • Providing high-level legal advice to the CEO, CFO, and other senior executives on a range of matters including corporate governance, risk management, and commercial contracts; • Developing and implementing effective legal strategies to support business growth and expansion; • Managing and developing a team of lawyers and paralegals to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services; • Collaborating with other functions, such as compliance, risk, and HR, to ensure alignment and consistency across the organization; • Staying up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies. The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer (8-15 PQE) with significant experience in-house or in private practice, preferably within the TMT/FinTech sector. A strong understanding of data protection law and regulation would be an advantage.
