The PolymerCycle Group is an integrated plastics recycling company, uniting Best Plastic Management GmbH, PB Solutions GmbH, ATP Service & Consulting GmbH, and Hoffmann+Voss GmbH. Together, we transform plastic waste into high-quality recyclates that replace virgin materials in demanding applications – for example, in the automotive, electrical, or packaging industries.

Our companies cover every step of the recycling loop: from trading secondary raw materials and PCR/PIR material streams, separating complex plastic mixtures using innovative density separation processes, and large-scale re-granulation, to custom-made compounds for technical plastics.

As Head of IT (m/f/d) for the PolymerCycle Group, you will be responsible for the reliable operation of these systems and actively and pragmatically introduce new technologies, always with a focus on business benefit.

Employment in the PolymerCycle Group with overarching responsibility for the IT of all companies

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for IT and digitalization of the corporate group with a clear focus on standardization, scalability, and value enhancement in a private equity environment

• Development and implementation of a group-wide IT and digitalization strategy, including roadmap, budget responsibility, and prioritization in close coordination with management and shareholders

• Harmonization and further development of the ERP and application landscape across all companies, including the IT-side integration of newly acquired companies

• Responsibility for stable, secure, and scalable IT operations at all locations – from infrastructure, networks, and cloud services to production IT

• Ensuring and further developing IT security, business continuity, and compliance, including policies, emergency concepts, and organizational awareness

• Management and further development of IT functions within the companies, as well as steering external service providers and partners, including contract, cost, and performance controlling

• Central interface function between the business units, the companies, management, and the private equity investor as a sparring partner for digitalization and automation initiatives

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in (Business) Informatics, Engineering, Business Administration with an IT focus, or comparable qualification

• Several years of relevant professional experience in IT, ideally with management responsibility and proximity to management in a corporate group or in the industrial mid-market

• Sound knowledge of ERP, IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, as well as IT security

• Experience in establishing and harmonizing IT structures, processes, and systems in dynamic organizations, ideally in the context of growth and acquisitions

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking combined with a high hands-on mentality and implementation strength

• Experience in project and service provider management as well as in IT budget responsibility; knowledge of production or industrial IT is an advantage

• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
