Head of IT m/w/d

We are looking for a highly positioned, mid-sized manufacturing company in North Rhine-Westphalia. The job holder will lead the five-person in-house IT team responsible for the maintenance and technical support of the company's sites and employees. A special focus lies on the strategic alignment, maintenance, and further development of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly Navision). Additionally, the position holder will support the management and colleagues with all IT-related questions.

Tasks

• Leadership: Disciplinary and professional leadership and further development of the IT team.
• ERP Leadership: Responsibility for the smooth operation of MS Dynamics Business Central.
• Strategy & Projects: Coordination of ERP projects in the context of harmonizing sites, steering upgrades, and building a seamless data center and KI applications.
• Customizing & Interfaces: Process optimization and adaptation of the ERP system to business requirements through close cooperation between IT and departments (Logistics, Accounting, Production, Sales).
• Fostering Global Team Collaboration: Support in transferring best practices between regions.
• Guiding External Service Providers: Coordination of IT partners for adjustments and support and continuous expansion of the IT department.

Qualification

• Good formal education
• SUCCESSFUL completion of a degree in (Business-) Informatics or an equivalent and convincing IT qualification.
• Multiple years of experience in leading IT teams – ideally in an international, mid-sized industrial company or an IT consulting organization.
• Multiple years of experience in administering or advising Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
• Very good project management skills and deep understanding of business processes
• Good knowledge of C/SIDE/C/AL or AL/Extension development as well as MS SQL Server.
• Very good English language skills
• Agility, service mentality, and professional sovereignty
• Outstanding intercultural competence and joy in working with international teams.
• Outstanding strategic and analytical thinking as well as a structured and proactive work style.
• Very good communication skills
• Self-reliance and independent work
• Strong identification with the own responsibility environment
