Head of Indirect Materials Procurement

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced procurement executive to lead the indirect procurement function for a large regional business.

The role will oversee multiple procurement categories covering enterprise-wide indirect spend while driving sourcing excellence, supplier management, cost optimization, and procurement transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the indirect procurement organization across multiple spend categories.
• Develop category strategies and procurement roadmaps.
• Manage strategic sourcing projects and major supplier negotiations.
• Drive procurement governance and operational excellence.
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across corporate functions.
• Lead supplier relationship management and performance improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, digitalization, and value creation.
• Develop high-performing procurement teams and succession pipelines.
• Support business expansion through effective procurement planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above.
• 15+ years of indirect procurement experience in multinational companies.
• Proven experience managing complex procurement portfolios across multiple indirect categories.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience leading sizeable procurement teams.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin language capability is highly preferred for regional collaboration.
