Head of Finance / Kaufmännische Leitung (m/w/d)

The Altruan Group consists of three companies with two business segments: In Trade, we sell hygiene, cleaning, and care products over 16 marketplaces and our own online shop in over 20 countries. In the Real Estate area, we manage a growing portfolio of rental properties and carry out renovations for external clients.

With ~120 employees, 25-30% annual growth, and a new 10,000 m² logistics center under construction, we are looking for someone to build our financial function across both business segments.

We are founder-led, make quick decisions, and rely on modern technology — from automated dashboards to AI-supported analyses. At our company, you don't build PowerPoint presentations, but real structures.

Tasks

• Building and responsibility for controlling: DB2 tracking per sales channel, cost accounting, monthly management reporting
• Supervision of ongoing accounting (ERP, DATEV) and quality control
• Preliminary preparation of annual financial statements for 3 GmbHs (HGB) in collaboration with our tax consultant
• Cash flow planning and liquidity management — especially important in our current growth phase with new construction
• Management of 10+ settlement accounts from marketplace settlements (Amazon, eBay, Kaufland, Otto, etc.)
• Bank reporting and covenant monitoring for existing financing
• Controlling across departments: logistics, procurement, sales, marketing
• Intercompany settlement between our three companies (operational, holding, real estate)
• Accompanying real estate accounting (10+ objects, rental income, loan management, settlement)

Qualification

You bring:

• At least 7 years of professional experience in controlling or finance, ideally in the mid-market
• Solid DATEV knowledge — our entire accounting runs on it
• Experience in preparing HGB annual financial statements
• Solid cash flow management — every euro counts at our margins
• Hands-on mentality: We're not a conglomerate — you shape and pack yourself
• Independent, structured work style — you build processes that don't exist yet

Bonus — but not a must:

• E-commerce or trade experience (marketplace settlements, settlement accounts)
• Experience with real estate accounting (AfA, loans, rental)
• Knowledge in the area of funding (KfW, EU regional funding)
• ERP experience (Weclapp or comparable)
• International sales tax (OSS, Reverse Charge)
