Head-of-Finance/ (Junior)-CFO (w-d-m)

The growth-oriented holding belongs to a Family-Office and acquires established Hospitality/Catering / Retail concepts and develops them further. In the holding, several companies with different concepts are bundled. The turnover lies in the lower two-digit million range, will probably even triple through M&A (buy&build) in the current year. The holding will strongly grow and has already demonstrated this with another holding (in the three-digit million range).

The structures available in the Family-Office must be established in the holding. There are professional structures and support functions, these must be built up: Finance, Controlling, Marketing, HR, IT, Procurement. We are looking for an undernehmerisch thinking and operationally oriented Head of Finance (Junior-CFO). The goal of the position is to set up a lean and agile team to steer the holding towards strong growth.

Aufgaben

• Kommerzielle Steuerung & Business Partnering: Close cooperation with the parent company (Family-Office), CEO, Operations- and Site Managers; translation of numbers into clear business recommendations
• Finanzplanung & Reporting: Building and further development of a reliable budget-, forecast- and monthly reporting system (on site- and group-level)
• Investitionsmanagement: Support in planning and evaluating CAPEX projects (real estate, technology, new build and expansions)
• Profitabilitäts- und Performance-Analysen: Development and introduction of meaningful KPI systems (turnover, cost structure and ROI)
• Cashflow- & Liquiditätssteuerung: Ensuring efficient use of funds; close coordination with banks, owner and Family Office
• Digitalisierung & Prozessoptimierung: Improvement of financial, controlling and accounting systems for efficiency gains
• Reporting: Preparation of reports, analyses and presentations for the Family Office and lenders
• M&A- und Expansionsprojekte: Support in evaluating and integrating new companies and sites

Qualifikation

• Economic studies with a focus on finance, controlling or corporate finance or equivalent qualification
• Pertinent professional experience in the financial sector of a start-up, modern mid-sized company or consulting firm with private equity connection
• Prior experience/interest in B2C business models with high customer orientation advantageous
• Strong analytical skills with a clear operational and entrepreneurial understanding
• Experience and pleasure in building controlling and reporting structures
• Understanding of CAPEX, site profitability and project financing
• High self-responsibility, pragmatism and hands-on mentality
• Communication strength and the ability to act on an equal footing with operational teams as well as investors
• Fascination for working with data to support strategic decisions
• Fluent German and English skills
