As Head of Finance (F/M/*) at amber, you will take full responsibility for our finance organization – and build it from the ground up. Important to know: No team on Day 1 – you will build it. You will work closely with management, create transparency about our numbers, professionalize our financial processes, and strategically support our growth. This role will grow with the company – with a clear perspective towards CFO.

Your Tasks

• You will be responsible for the entire financial management – from controlling and reporting to liquidity planning, budgeting, and forecasting

• You will build the finance organization independently: On Day 1, there is no team – you will define structures, processes, and gradually assemble your own team

• You will develop meaningful KPI dashboards and create financial transparency for management, the team, and investors

• You will manage the collaboration with tax advisors, auditors, and banks, and will be responsible for monthly and annual financial statements

• You will support financing rounds, due diligence processes, and strategic projects together with management

• You will professionalize our tool landscape in the finance area and drive the automation of financial processes

• You will grow with your role: In the medium term, you will develop towards CFO and actively shape the strategic direction of the company

Your Qualifications

• You have at least 3 years of experience in Transaction Services, Auditing, or Investment Banking

• You have a completed university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field

• You possess sound knowledge in accounting (HGB), controlling, and financial planning; initial exposure to SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, Churn, CAC) is a plus

• You are keen on building things up: You don't want to administer, but to create – a hands-on mentality and personal responsibility characterize you

• You work data-oriented, analyze complex issues in a structured manner, and derive concrete measures from them

• You are tech-savvy and proficient in using modern finance tools and ERP/accounting systems

• You think entrepreneurially and want to take on long-term responsibility – up to the perspective of CFO

• You communicate clearly and convincingly in German and English and present yourself confidently to management, investors, and banks
