Job description
Would you like to actively shape the financial management of a production site as Head of Finance & Controlling (m/f/d) and act as a sparring partner at eye level with the plant management? Our client is an internationally positioned industrial company with several production sites and complex value-added structures. You will work in a dynamic environment with clear responsibility for results, close integration of operations and finance, and direct exchange with management. Responsibilities
- You will analyze the site's financial key figures and derive concrete measures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- You will act as a business partner for the plant management and senior management and support strategic decisions.
- You will manage budget, forecast, and business plan processes and monitor target achievement.
- You will be responsible for internal and external reporting and ensure timely and high-quality reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, budget, business plan, forecasts, etc.).
- You will lead the finance team both technically and disciplinarily and develop employees in a targeted manner.
- You will ensure compliance with reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- You will continuously optimize existing controlling and reporting processes through analysis and benchmarking.
- You will ensure closing certainty according to HGB and IFRS and be responsible for the correct representation of all relevant business transactions in reporting.
- You will communicate financial developments and risks to relevant stakeholders in an appropriate manner.
- You will support tax-related topics and external reporting requirements and ensure their correct implementation.
Qualifications
- You have a completed degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a comparable qualification.
- You have many years of experience in controlling or finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- You have several years of leadership experience and know how to develop and motivate teams.
- You work confidently in business partnering with management and operational units.
- You quickly analyze complex contexts and make well-founded decisions.
- You have solid closing certainty in HGB and IFRS and apply them confidently in daily operational business.
- You have a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.
- You ideally have knowledge of international reporting standards and controlling tools.
- You have fluent German (min. C1 level) and fluent English (min. C1 level) language skills.
