Head of Field Technicians, TV Audience Measurement

A leading consumer intelligence company is seeking a Head of Technicians to oversee technical field operations for TV audience measurement in South Africa. This role involves managing installation and maintenance of metering equipment, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and leading a team of technicians. Candidates should have significant experience in technical operations and familiarity with the South African TV landscape. Key responsibilities will include: • Managing installation and maintenance of metering equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards and regulations. • Leading a team of technicians, providing guidance and support as needed, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team. • Developing and implementing processes and procedures for efficient and effective technical operations. • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless integration of technical operations into overall business strategy. • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in TV audience measurement, and applying this knowledge to continuously improve technical operations. • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including data protection and privacy regulations. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, computer science). • At least 5 years of experience in technical operations, preferably in the TV audience measurement industry. • Proven track record of successfully managing teams and projects. • Strong understanding of technical operations and ability to develop and implement processes and procedures. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Familiarity with the South African TV landscape and regulations.
