About the Role

We are looking for a technical key person with deep tracker- and system expertise.
The role is not operationally driven, but responsible for technical planning, system selection, and lifecycle performance of solar-tracker-based AgriPV systems.
It is centrally positioned as a technical key role against internal and external decision-making instances. It offers you a clear perspective towards CTO.

Tasks

• Technical overall responsibility for solar-tracker systems and substructures in the AgriPV field
• Planning, design, and conceptualization of tracker-, UK-systems & Agri-PV installations
• Selection, evaluation, and technical approval of suitable PV-tracker- and steel construction systems
• Definition of technical standards, specifications, and system architectures
• Ensuring quality, performance, and lifespan over the entire lifecycle
• Responsibility for maintenance-, upkeep- and lifecycle concepts
• Technical evaluation of site-, soil- and system risks
• Closely working with Engineering, EPC- and Construction teams
• BUILDING up the department and supporting optimization of relevant processes and areas
• Technical interface to banks, investors, manufacturers, and appraisers

Qualification

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Steel Construction, Mechatronics or comparable
• Relevant experience in the Utility-Scale-PV field or ideally in the Agri-PV field
• Notable tracker expertise (system design, substructures, mechanics)
• Very good understanding of planning, design, and technical system responsibility
• Experience with lifecycle-, maintenance- and O&M-related issues
• Able to present technical matters clearly and structured
• Experience at tracker manufacturers, EPCs or project developers is advantageous
• No mandatory disciplinary leadership experience required
• Very good German and English skills
• Readiness for travel activityHigh motivation and willingness to engage
