As Head of Engineering, you will take on the operational leadership of our interdisciplinary engineering team and further develop the department together with our CTO. You will ensure that innovative ideas turn into market-ready products, scalable production facilities, and efficient development processes. In doing so, you will lead a growing team, create clear structures, and work closely with design, process engineering, production, purchasing, and management.

Your Responsibilities

• You will provide technical and disciplinary leadership for our interdisciplinary engineering team and continuously develop your employees.
• You will plan, prioritize, and manage our development projects and be responsible for their successful implementation in terms of quality, time, and budget.
• You will develop our engineering organization and establish scalable processes, clear responsibilities, and uniform technical standards.
• You will ensure that new products and technical developments are successfully transferred to series production.
• Where necessary, you will contribute constructively yourself and support your team with demanding technical tasks.
• You will be responsible for CE-compliant technical documentation of our machines and systems.
• You will drive the further development of our engineering tools and digital processes, especially our CAD, PDM, and PLM systems.
• You will support your team with complex technical questions and make key technical decisions together with our CTO.
• You will work closely with production, purchasing, and external partners and ensure smooth technical implementation.
• You will support the further expansion of our engineering team and ensure successful onboarding of new colleagues.

What You Bring

What You Should Bring

• You have successfully completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable technical field.
• You have several years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, or special machine construction.
• You have already successfully led technical teams both technically and disciplinarily and enjoy developing people as much as technologies.
• You have in-depth knowledge of design and can technically assess and review technical concepts, calculations, and design results.
• You know how to structure complex development projects, set priorities, and guide teams safely through phases of change and growth.
• You have a good understanding of production facilities, industrial development processes, and the transfer of new developments into series production.
• You have experience with CAD, PDM, or PLM systems, and ideally with the digitalization of engineering processes.
• Knowledge of the Machinery Directive or EU Machinery Regulation and experience with CE conformity procedures are advantageous.
• You work in a structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented manner and gladly take on responsibility.
• You are fluent in spoken and written German and English.
