Aufgaben

As Head of Engineering, you are responsible for the entire development organization and report directly to the management board. You ensure stable product development and drive technological renewal forward.

• Leadership & Engineering-Kultur: You establish an engineering culture with clear responsibility, transparency, and ownership. Team Leads develop through clear expectations, coaching, and regular feedback.
• Transformation von Legacy zu SaaS & AI: You shape the target architecture and steer a step-by-step, realistic modernization.
• Delivery & Verlässlichkeit: You ensure planned releases across legacy and new platforms. Clear processes create stability and transparency.
• Architektur & Qualität: You set binding architecture and engineering standards. Quality, CI/CD, and Security-by-Design are firmly anchored in the development process.
• Innovation & AI: You foster targeted use of AI in engineering and product.
• Zusammenarbeit & Schnittstellen: You work closely with management, product, sales, and other stakeholders to connect strategy with implementation.

Qualifikation

• Fluent German and English knowledge

• Min. 10 years of professional experience in the engineering field

• Multiple leadership experience in software development, ideally in an ISV context

• Numerous experience in technological transformation projects (Legacy to Cloud/SaaS)

• Deep understanding of software architectures, CI/CD, DevOps, and testing

• Clear communication, decision-making strength, and high implementation energy

• Nice to haves

• Experience in Cyber-Security companies

• Knowledge of Multi-Tenant architectures

• Basic understanding of AI/ML applications
