We are building the EnergyOS for multi-family homes.

In Germany, there are over 3.3 million multi-family homes – and they are the black hole of the energy transition. 1% solar penetration. 2% smart metering. Little flexibility or intelligent energy management.

At the same time, regulation forces owners to make massive investments: solar becomes mandatory, smart meters must be rolled out within the next five years, heating and mobility electrify themselves. The multi-family home is transformed from concrete gold to an active part of the decentralized energy infrastructure.

What's missing is a comprehensive system that makes this transformation economically and operationally manageable.

VREY combines certified measurement station operations with its own software and enables property owners to sell their self-generated solar power directly to their tenants – simply and without becoming an energy supplier (§42b EnWG).

This turns regulatory pressure into a profitable and planned opportunity:

Aufgaben

Mission der Rolle

You are a direct report to our COO and Co-Founder Cedric and are responsible for the technically correct, regulatory compliant, and stable implementation of our energy projects in multi-family homes. Over the next 18 months, you will build your own team of 10+ employees.

Your goal: To build an Energy Operations System that functions economically and is scalable – from measurement concept to accounting and settlement.

1. Fachliche Gesamtverantwortung für Delivery & Performance

• You bear the end-to-end responsibility for planning, controlling, and go-live of our energy projects, including individual project responsibility
• You ensure that projects are implemented terminally, economically, and regulatory compliant
• You define and are responsible for operational KPIs (e.g. project duration, go-live rate, quality, cost structure) and prioritize resources

2. Aufbau eines skalierbaren Energy-Operations-Systems

• You develop a standardized, scalable operating model for several hundred projects per year (including measurement station operations)
• You identify structural bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions (automations, tooling)
• You define clear processes, roles, interfaces, and responsibilities

3. Qualitätssicherung, Skalierung & fachliche Führung

• You build and lead a high-performance team of project managers and operations specialists
• You establish clear performance standards, feedback structures, and ownership
