Nuffield College aspires to be a world-leading graduate college dedicated to advanced research in the social sciences. Its endowment underpins the College’s academic activities and future sustainability. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the Endowment Office and support the management and development of the College’s investment portfolio. The Role You will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of a diverse investment portfolio of property and non-property assets, and contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the College. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing strategies for the endowment, including asset allocation, risk management, and investment performance measurement. • Providing expert advice on investment opportunities and risks to the College’s governing body and other stakeholders. • Collaborating with colleagues across the College to ensure effective communication and coordination of endowment-related activities. • Building and maintaining relationships with external partners, such as fund managers, lawyers, and accountants. • Overseeing the administration of the Endowment Office, including budgeting, financial reporting, and HR matters. The Person We are looking for someone who has: • A strong background in investment management or a related field, preferably with experience in managing endowments or similar assets. • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
