Head of Design

We are looking for a talented Head of Design to lead our design team and drive the creative direction of Platzi's products and services. The ideal candidate will be able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on user experience and visual design. Responsibilities: • Lead the design team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers • Develop and maintain the overall design strategy for Platzi's products and services • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet business objectives and user needs • Design and develop visual designs for Platzi's products and services, including branding, UI/UX, and other visual elements • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve Platzi's design capabilities • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the design team, encouraging collaboration and creativity • Develop and manage budgets for design projects and initiatives • Ensure all designs are accessible, inclusive, and meet Platzi's brand standards • Work closely with the product management team to ensure design solutions align with business objectives and user needs • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and communications, to develop a cohesive brand identity for Platzi • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including designers, product managers, and executives • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior designers • Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively • Travel occasionally for work-related purposes (up to 10% of the time) Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field • At least 5 years of experience leading design teams and developing visual designs for products and services • Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, including UI/UX, branding, and other visual elements • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail • Fluency in English (written and spoken) • Experience working in a remote work environment or willingness to learn Benefits: • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunity to work with a talented team of designers and developers • Collaborative and dynamic work environment • Professional development opportunities, including training and mentorship programs • Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options • Access to Platzi's extensive network of industry professionals and thought leaders
