Head of Datacenter (m/f/d)

As Head of Datacenter (m/f/d), you will take on the strategic, technical, and operational responsibility for the establishment and further development of this business area Datacenter. You will combine business development, technical excellence, and project management, and lead demanding data center projects from the initial idea to successful commissioning.

In doing so, you will work closely with national and international experts and establish the Competence Center "Datacenter" as a central component of our service portfolio.

Tasks that motivate:

• Establishment and strategic further development of the Datacenter business area

• Identification and development of new market and business opportunities

• Support of acquisition, bidding, and sales activities

• Establishment, leadership, and development of the Datacenter team, as well as leadership of the international Competence Center

• Technical leadership and coordination of Datacenter planning services

• Development and implementation of highly available, energy-efficient Datacenter infrastructures

• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, safety, and quality regulations

• Management of interdisciplinary collaboration between electrical engineering, building services engineering, instrumentation, control, and automation engineering, architecture, and other specialist areas

• Overall responsibility for the planning and realization of complex Datacenter projects

• Management of costs, deadlines, quality, and resources within the EPC and HOAI environment

• Management of tendering and awarding processes, as well as management of external partners

• Coordination with customers, authorities, network operators, and other stakeholders

• Supervision of construction execution, commissioning, and project completion

• Consulting clients on the development of sustainable and future-proof Datacenter solutions

• Conducting risk analyses and identifying optimization potentials

• Monitoring and integration of current market and technology trends in the Datacenter environment

Qualifications that convince:

• Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Building Services Engineering, Building Technology, or a comparable field of study

• Several years of professional and leadership experience in the planning, development, or realization of Datacenter projects

• In-depth knowledge in the development and management of complex data center projects

• Deep expertise in the electrical infrastructure of data centers and in highly available supply systems

• Experience with large-scale infrastructure, industrial, or EPC projects

• Very good understanding of energy efficiency, sustainability, and modern data center concepts

• Knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements

• Experience in risk analysis, value engineering, and technical project optimization

• Strong skills in project management, technical documentation, and organizational development

• Entrepreneurial thinking and experience in establishing new business areas or market segments

• Leadership competence, strong communication skills, and confident stakeholder management

• Fluent German and English language skills
