The Head of Data, GSA leads the Data Intelligence Unit for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and plays a central role in fostering a data-driven corporate culture. In this matrix function, the Head of Data operates at the interface between local business units and regional as well as global Data Intelligence teams. The position combines strategic consulting for business units, analytical and technical leadership, talent development, and collaboration across country and functional boundaries. The Head of Data ensures that data and insights make a measurable contribution to regional business priorities while remaining aligned with regional and global Data Intelligence strategies.

What you do

  • You translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for various stakeholders through regular and ad-hoc analyses, developing a deep understanding of the business priorities in the markets you serve.
  • You drive the further development of analytics from descriptive to diagnostic and predictive approaches, while remaining closely involved in analytical questions by actively shaping methodologies, approaches, and best practices.
  • You implement the regional Data Intelligence strategy for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and translate strategic priorities into concrete measures for reporting, tools, data products, and capability building.
  • You coordinate collaboration with data teams across multiple markets, foster the exchange of best practices, and ensure consistency in KPI definitions, reporting standards, and governance.
  • You support the development and implementation of regional KPI frameworks, dashboards, and reporting standards, as well as the migration to modern data platforms and AI-powered workflows.
  • You empower business teams through training on data tools, dashboards, and self-service analytics solutions, acting as the interface between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • You act as a trusted sparring partner for senior stakeholders in the GSA region, represent local perspectives and business requirements in regional and global data initiatives, and ensure a successful balance between local needs and overarching strategic objectives.
  • You balance regional standards with local market requirements, convince stakeholders through clear communication and data-based storytelling, and promote the acceptance of data-driven decisions at all levels of the organization.
  • You foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, support the professional development of the team, and ensure effective prioritization and resource planning.

Who you are

  • You have extensive experience in analytics, data science, insights, or comparable fields, ideally in a regional or multi-market environment.
  • You impress with strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, and are able to present complex issues comprehensibly and translate business challenges into data-based solutions.
  • You have proven your leadership skills through both direct management of employees and the technical leadership of projects and cross-functional teams.
  • You bring sound experience in building and further developing reporting solutions, dashboards, KPI frameworks, and in dealing with data governance principles.
  • You possess strong analytical and technical expertise, as well as very good knowledge of SQL (Snowflake), Python, and data visualization tools such as Streamlit, Tableau, or comparable technologies.
  • You work collaboratively, proactively, and want to take on and further expand responsibility in a strategic and international environment.
  • Experience in the music industry is an advantage, especially a good understanding of streaming business models, digital music consumption, and key market dynamics.

What we offer you

  • Room for diversity and innovation. The freedom to challenge and revolutionize processes and methods.
  • Individual benefits packages combinable from public transport subsidy, job bike, and a sports subscription.
  • Flexible working hours and home office.
  • Company pension scheme. A streaming subscription of your choice.
  • As well as concerts and events throughout Germany and in our chic headquarters in the heart of Schöneberg.
