Job Description:

• Define Dstl’s data purpose, vision, strategy, and associated policies, leading implementation in line with MOD data strategy.
• Establish and futureproof data systems, ensuring agile delivery with long-term strategic vision for complex and uncertain data environments.
• Manage assurance of Dstl’s data holdings, ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory, departmental, and contractual requirements.
• Design and lead the data governance function, providing policy, assurance, specialist training, and technical support to upskill the organisation.
• Build and maintain external partnerships with government, academia, and industry to embed data best practices and enhance organisational capability.
• Represent Dstl as the local data domain owner, advising stakeholders and reporting assurance products to MOD CIO via Dstl CIO.
