Head of Compliance

Responsibilities We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to head the Compliance function for a stable financial institution. The successful candidate will oversee a team of compliance professionals, ensuring robust engagement with regulators, fostering a strong compliance culture across the organization. Establish independent oversight and provide strategic advice to regional executive leadership on regulatory governance and compliance risk matters. Serve as the primary liaison for authorized representatives from various government agencies, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Develop and implement effective compliance strategies, policies, and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with other departments, such as Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Legal to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management and compliance. Provide regular updates to senior management on key compliance matters, ensuring timely and informed decision-making. Ensure the Compliance function is adequately resourced, staffed, and equipped to meet its objectives. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory developments. Provide thought leadership and guidance on compliance-related matters to the organization's executive team and other stakeholders.
