Head of Competence Center Insurance (m/w/d)

As Head of Cempetence Center Insurance (m/w/d), you will take leadership responsibility in building our Insurance-Unit and get involved yourself. You will strategically steer, operationally advise, and accompany the sales process with professional depth. As a key figure, you will develop our existing insurance setup in Germany further and create the basis for growth and market penetration in the entire DACH region.

Aufgaben

• You will drive the expansion and strategic further development of our Competence Centers Insurance forward and create efficient processes, data-based performance management, and sustainable best practices.
• You will develop our service portfolio in the insurance field continuously, support pre-sales with professional depth, and identify new business opportunities in the DACH region.
• You will be responsible for professionally driven testing projects, build reusable accelerators, and lead insurance transformation tests from conception to implementation.
• You will strengthen the visibility and positioning of the Competence Center over suitable industry formats and establish QESTIT further as a quality and transformation partner in the insurance sector.
• In day-to-day business, you will coordinate external test teams, ensure alignment with departments, business analysts, and developers, and provide clear communication channels.
• You will create test plans and test concepts based on project requirements and take over overall planning, control, and coordination of all testing activities.
• You will ensure the effectiveness of testing activities through targeted use of suitable test types and stages, keeping quality and risks in mind.
• You will develop test strategies further, promote test automation, and support projects as needed pragmatically and hands-on.

Qualifikation

• You bring at least 5 years of experience in test management in the insurance industry with you and know the typical challenges of complex transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Ideal would be to have already worked in the context of msg, msg life, or msg systems or been involved on the insurer's side or in consulting.
• You are familiar with common insurance programs such as Core Modernization, Legacy Migration, Portal, and Partner Integration.
• In project operations, you work securely with tools like Jira, XRay, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps and use these structured for planning, control, and transparency in the testing process.
• You have experience in program and project management, a strong hands-on mentality, and a high sense of responsibility, as well as a careful and solution-oriented working style.
• You are highly flexible and willing to travel, allowing you to support customers on site optimally and implement projects successfully.
• You have a professional appearance, clear communication, and very good German (C1) and English skills. An ISTQB certification, ideally at the Advanced Level, is advantageous.
