Head of Cloud Operations (m/f/d)

For an established German cloud and IT infrastructure provider, we are looking for an experienced leader who will be responsible for the stable and reliable operation of modern cloud platforms.

You will take on leadership of a technical team, optimize operational processes, and ensure the availability and performance of complex cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the stable operation of complex cloud, virtualization, and container platforms.
• You will lead your operations team both technically and disciplinarily and further develop your employees.
• You will ensure high service quality and manage 3rd level support as well as incident and escalation management.
• You will optimize operational processes, identify potential for improvement, and drive automation forward.
• You will work closely with the development teams and be responsible for the handover of new platform functionalities to productive operation.

Qualifications

• Several years of leadership experience in Cloud Operations, IT Infrastructure, or comparable technical areas.
• In-depth experience in operating complex cloud platforms and cloud infrastructures.
• Good understanding of IaaS, Kubernetes, Linux, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Experience in operating business-critical IT environments as well as in incident and escalation management.
• Structured way of working, hands-on mentality, and strong leadership skills.
• Knowledge of OpenStack is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
