Head of Asset Management

Job description

Job Description

Our Operations team is the engine room of service delivery across New Zealand. We’re committed to providing safe, efficient, and compliant field installations and services that exceed expectations, for both our external customers and internal teams. We’re constantly evolving, always looking for smarter ways to operate and better ways to support our people.

Your Opportunity
Step into a pivotal leadership role where you’ll shape the future of asset supply across New Zealand. As Head of Asset Management, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of our field assets, from procurement and refurbishment to fleet compliance and operational performance. Your mission: ensure every asset is fit-for-purpose, fully compliant, and available when needed to keep our field teams moving.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, balancing multiple workstreams and priorities with precision. With SLAs, ISO standards, and safety regulations shaping the landscape, your ability to lead with clarity and collaborate across teams will be key.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Lead best-practice Procurement, Warehousing, and Logistics operations across NZ, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant practices.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management—from new product introduction to refurbishment, recycling, and slow/obsolete inventory handling.
  • Ensure warehouse and laboratory sites are safe, well-maintained, and operationally effective.
  • Manage the Calibration Laboratory, setting clear priorities and ensuring compliance with all operational and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and data integrity through regular stocktakes, cycle counts, and continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure all required accreditations are upheld across asset supply, management, and calibration.
  • Act as the key liaison with suppliers, subcontractors, service delivery teams, and field service providers on all supply chain matters.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contribute asset management insights in key business forums.
  • Partner with Compliance, Service Delivery, and Technical teams to maintain fleet compliance across NZ.
  • Own the asset management budget—monitoring performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and addressing variances with clear mitigation plans.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
