Head of Asset Management

AltGen is looking for a Head of Asset Management & Technical to join an infrastructure investment company based in Cape Town. The role will lead the management team for the two utility projects in operation. Responsibilities Provide senior leadership and oversight of GMS's asset management and technical functions across the portfolio Accountable for operational, technical and contractual performance of managed assets, ensuring alignment with business plans and value expectations Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional results Drive strategic initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the organization Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the asset management function Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, and partners Identify and mitigate risks associated with managed assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices Oversee the development and implementation of asset management strategies, policies, and procedures Ensure alignment with company values and strategic objectives Provide expert advice and guidance to the management team on technical and operational matters Develop and manage budgets for asset management activities Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective integration and coordination of asset management functions Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure asset management performance Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Provide technical support and guidance to the operations team on asset-related matters Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies
