Head of Accounting (m/w/d)

We are looking for an entrepreneurial thinking leadership personality as Head of Accounting (m/w/d) to develop structures, optimize processes and set new standards with their team.

In this key role, you will be responsible for the entire accounting department, lead your team with foresight and ensure the sustainable development of efficient financial structures.

Aufgaben

Your Mission

• You take over overall responsibility for the consolidated financial statements according to HGB and ensure a transparent and informative reporting.
• As a central sparring partner on an equal footing, you act against auditors, tax consultants, banks, and authorities and bring forward tax-related topics in a solution-oriented manner.
• You steer all accounting processes in the main and subsidiary books and ensure efficient, streamlined workflows.
• You coordinate intercompany transactions structured and securely – ensuring that all business transactions are correctly and timely booked in the ERP system at all times.
• You are responsible for payment approvals and cash management within the group and create transparency over liquidity and financial flows.
• As a modern leader, you develop your team further, drive process optimizations forward, and shape the accounting department of the group in a future-oriented manner.

Qualifikation

You bring with you

• A completed degree in Finance, Accounting or a comparable qualification forms your professional basis.
• You have extensive experience in the accounting field – including several years of leadership experience – and move confidently on strategic as well as operational levels.
• HGB consolidated financial statements security, as well as comprehensive practice in group consolidation, are self-evident for you.
• You think finance digitally: With your advanced IT affinity and very good SAP knowledge, you design efficient, future-oriented processes.
• You analyze structured, act proactively, and make informed decisions – even in complex situations.
• You stand for ownership, drive, and implementation strength: strategic foresight meets genuine hands-on mentality.
