Head of Accounting (m/w/d)

We're looking for you:

• You build our in-house accounting for Germany – from selecting and developing your team to insourcing relevant accounting processes.
• You define roles, review levels, and approval workflows and anchor them as a binding standard across all companies.
• You are responsible for HGB-compliant monthly, annual, and consolidated statements for all German companies and steer the group reporting to Belgium via LucaNet.
• You integrate newly acquired companies according to our Finance Playbook into a uniform accounting and reporting structure.
• In cases of fundamental accounting questions – such as provisions or share deals – you make the decision in consultation with the Finance Director and Group CFO.

You bring:

• You are an accountant (IHK) or similarly qualified; a degree in the field of accounting or finance is a plus.
• You have more than seven years of experience in German accounting, ideally from a multi-entity, private equity, or buy-and-build environment.
• You have already built or led an accounting team and deliberately developed junior staff.
• You are proficient in DATEV; you make sovereign decisions on HGB accounting matters. LucaNet experience is welcome.
• You negotiate confidently at C1 level in German and English, and present yourself convincingly to company executives and the group finance leadership.
