Head - Monitoring & Evaluation | Social Sector

Job description

Role Purpose: To provide strategic leadership for monitoring and evaluation across programs, ensuring rigorous tracking of performance, outcomes, and impact. The role drives evidence-based decision-making by establishing robust systems, generating actionable insights, and strengthening organizational learning to enhance program effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive monitoring frameworks, systems, and standard operating procedures across programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including program managers, team members, and external partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate monitoring and evaluation into program planning and execution. Provide technical guidance and support to program staff on monitoring and evaluation methodologies, tools, and best practices. Analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making, track progress, and measure impact. Identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for process enhancements. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards. Develop and manage budgets for monitoring and evaluation activities. Provide thought leadership and expertise on monitoring and evaluation trends, methodologies, and best practices. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in the field of monitoring and evaluation. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Monitoring & Evaluation, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the social sector. Strong understanding of program management principles, theories, and practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Certification in Monitoring & Evaluation (e.g., CQI) is an asset. Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.
