Head, Learning & Organisational Development

Job description

Role Overview We are seeking a Head of Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) to lead FairPrice Group’s ambition of becoming a learning organisation. As a retail company with a strong frontline workforce at our core, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering the Group’s learning agenda to build future-ready capabilities across frontliners, managers, and leaders. The focus will be on cultivating a growth mindset, strengthening leadership accountability, and embedding customer-centricity throughout the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned L&OD professional to drive business outcomes through people development, leveraging their expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and organisational change management. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a comprehensive Learning & Organisational Development strategy aligned with FairPrice Group’s overall business objectives. • Lead the design and delivery of high-impact training programs for frontliners, managers, and leaders to build future-ready capabilities. • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to identify learning needs and develop targeted solutions. • Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth by promoting a growth mindset, encouraging experimentation, and celebrating successes. • Develop and manage budgets for L&OD initiatives, ensuring effective allocation of resources. • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, HR partners, and training providers. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the effectiveness of L&OD initiatives. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Organisational Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in Learning & Organisational Development, preferably in a retail or service-oriented industry. • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective learning strategies that drive business outcomes. • Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design, and organisational change management principles. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
