Description:
We are looking for a Regional Finance Head, to ensure the integrity, reliability, and timeliness of financial information for Mexico, ensuring compliance with fiscal, regulatory, and corporate policies, and acting as a true Business Controller who understands the operation, challenges it with data, and protects the business's margin and cash.
Main Activities:
- Report the country's monthly results to the General Director of Mexico and the CFO
- Consolidate and present monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow), with executive reports on performance, variances, and risks
- Prepare and track the annual budget monthly, analyzing deviations and proposing corrective actions
- Supervise taxes, financial operations, accounting, and reconciliations, as well as the work of external accountants/firms
- Work closely with operational areas on the implementation of policies, internal controls, and financial procedures
- Ensure compliance with current tax and accounting regulations in Mexico
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, cash flow improvement, and efficiency in resource utilization
- Align local accounting processes and practices with regional and United States guidelines (US GAAP)
- Track hours worked, estimated cost at completion (EAC), project financing, work-in-progress (WIP), and margin erosion
- Actively participate in the company's quality processes and internal/external audits
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting, with a valid professional title and license (Master's degree in Finance, Administration, or professional certifications desirable)
- Minimum of 10 years in a similar position, ideally in project-oriented industries (construction, software development/deployment)
- Solid and specific experience in project financing, PMO, WIP, margin erosion, and project cash flow
- Revenue recognition under the POC (Percentage of Completion) methodology
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle ERP
- Advanced English (conversational/corporate)
- More than 10 years leading accounting and finance teams in multinational environments
