Head Chef

Guruji Hospitality Pty Ltd T/A Delhi 6 Authentic Indian Restaurant is looking for qualified full-time Head Chef for our Indian restaurant at Canning vale WA. We provide authentic Indian cuisine to our customers. We are most reputed hospitality firm in Perth and cater for authentic Indian food. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Chef for our restaurant.
We are located at 271 Amherst Rd, Canning Vale WA 6155.

Responsibilities:

• Calculating food and labour costs to ensure profitability and efficient resource allocation.
• Working closely with manager, kitchen staff, and waiting staff, the focus is on fostering collaboration and addressing operational, nutritional, and customer service aspects to ensure efficient and high-quality food service.
• Monitors and maintains the quality of dishes throughout every stage of preparation, ensuring that each plate meets high standards in taste, presentation, and adherence to culinary excellence.
• Ensuring dishes are prepared according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Training and mentoring staff including chefs, cooks, kitchen staff to build skills, confidence, and career progression.
• Managing kitchen budgets, equipment maintenance, and repair schedules.
• Preparing and overseeing special menus for functions, events, and seasonal promotions.
• Continuously monitoring industry trends to keep the menu innovative and competitive.
• Ordering ingredients and optimizing inventory to support kitchen operations.
• Strategically freezing and preserving ingredients to minimize waste and optimize kitchen efficiency.
• Introducing new cooking techniques, recipes, and menu items to enhance culinary offerings.
• Participating in the selection and hiring process to onboard skilled and qualified kitchen personnel and training the kitchen staff to perform their duties adequately.
• Designing menus that balance creativity, seasonal availability, and customer preferences.
• Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards and maintain a clean and organized kitchen during and after service.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum Certificate IV qualification is required.
• The candidate must have at least 1 years’ experience
• Able to work under minimum supervision.
• Positive attitude

Salary Package: $75,000 - $85,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
