HEAD CHEF – 12 Rocks Beach Cafe | Port Campbell
Full-Time Position | Immediate Start Available

$75,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation

Are you a passionate and experienced Head chef ready to lead a dynamic team on The stunning Great Ocean Road? 12 Rocks Beach Cafe, a thriving restaurant in the heart of Port Campbell.

About the Role:
As Head Chef, you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring high food quality, safety, and team performance. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting the kitchen team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Menu planning & design
• Managing ordering and inventory control to minimise waste and ensure stock availability
• Overseeing cost control and food margins, contributing to overall profitability
• Creating and managing kitchen staff rosters to ensure efficient coverage and labour cost control
• Ensuring staff compliance with HACCAP regulations and safety standards.

What We're Looking For:
✅ Proven experience as a head chef, with strong leadership and team communication skills

✅ Relevant qualifications no less than a Diploma level, plus 3 years full time relevant employment experience
✅ Sound knowledge of ordering, inventory systems, and food cost control
✅ Experience in rostering and workforce planning

✅ Someone who can work closely with our Front of house manager to help shape workplace culture & a positive work environment.

✅ Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
