About Us: Fresh Minds, part of ProCare, operates the School Based Health Programme across high-deprivation schools in Auckland. With a commitment to improve youth health outcomes, we provide comprehensive health services to over 11,000 high school students, supported by a team of professionals including nurses, counsellors, psychologists, and school staff. The Opportunity: You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver on-site health services focusing on mental health, sexual health, and wellbeing. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families. Key Responsibilities: • Provide primary care services to students, including health assessments, health education, and treatment of minor ailments. • Work collaboratively with school staff, including teachers, principals, and other health professionals to develop and implement health promotion strategies. • Develop and maintain relationships with school staff, students, and families to ensure effective communication and engagement. • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student health needs and develop comprehensive care plans. • Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and evidence-based guidelines to inform clinical decision-making. • Contribute to the development and implementation of programme policies, procedures, and protocols. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the programme is effective and efficient. The Ideal Candidate: We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic General Practitioner with a passion for working with young people. You'll have a strong foundation in primary care and a commitment to improving youth health outcomes. You'll be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You'll be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and grow.
