The Role:

We are seeking HC Delivery Driver's to join our Lindsay Rural branch in Mareeba for local delivery work.

This is a casual position, working various hours across Monday - Friday. During the current busy season, we have plenty of work to keep you busy and earning.

This is a physically demanding position as you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading & transportation of customer goods and merchandise to and from customer properties.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Deliver and unload merchandise to rural worksites.
• Assist in loading/unloading and load restraint as required to prevent freight movement and allow for safe transport
• Maintain logs of deliveries, obtaining signatures for deliveries made
• Communicate with warehouse or pickup point for any special instructions
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner, representing the company.
• In-store counter sales as required.

About you:

The candidates we are looking for will have:

• A current HC Licence as a minimum
• A current forklift licence
• Previous experience as a delivery driver ideally in a retail environment
• Always have a safety focus to ensure your safety, your colleagues and customers & public, along with an ongoing commitment to safe driving practices.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently
• Be well presented, professional and reliable.

Experience in a rural worksite or engaging with rural clients is highly regarded.

To be successful for this role applicants must:

• Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
• Provide a current traffic print out
• Have the capability to meet the physical demands of the position - this includes getting in and out of the truck throughout the day; repetitive bending & lifting of rural merchandise when loading & unloading at the branch and on farm.
