About the job…

We are seeking a highly motivated Handyperson to join our busy Engineering team. You will become involved in many areas of the hotel with the overall aim of maintaining the building and all areas within the hotel to the highest standards. This is a permanent part-time position, minimum guaranteed 24 hours per week.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• Assist the maintendance supervisors in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel.
• All aspects of maintenance including some painting, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, tiling odd jobs and project work.
• Respond to a range of guest requests as a first priority
• Servicing of plant and general equipment as directed
• Ensuring all painted areas are maintained and in good order
• Ensure all maintenance for room moves & guest arrivals are actioned appropriately
• Complete tasks as part of the preventative maintenance program
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
• Effective use of energy and water resources
• Assisting team members in the completion of their duties
