POSITION: HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC

Job Type: Full time

Location: Winnellie, NT

Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year

About this role:

To maintain the HB mobile fleet and ancillary equipment to ensure OEM standards are maintained on vehicles and the vehicles maximise utility through timely and appropriate preventive and remedial maintenance

Key responsibilities:

• Inspects repairs and adjusts diesel power units, hydraulic systems, injection valves and systems, mouldboards, trailer systems, and other equipment as required
• Perform incidental welding tasks; basic welding knowledge and field experience required
• Must demonstrate a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
• Knows the hazards of his job and is trained in the safety precautions of the trade.
• Must have skills in the care and use of hand and power tools employed in all phases of heavy equipment mechanical maintenance and repair work.
• Ability to diagnose defects in heavy-duty equipment. They also need to be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions in the English language.
• Abilities include completing forms to record or report information in standard format as specified by the form. They observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards.
• Installs replace or adjusts filters, belts, or similar objects to maintain equipment.
• Makes skilful, controlled manipulations of small objects to repair equipment.
• Must be capable of manipulating tools in areas of limited space.
• Must be able to move heavy objects of 20kg or more sometimes over long distances.
• Performance of other essential and marginal functions depending upon work location, assignment, or shift.

Required skills and experience:

• Sound knowledge of modern mechanical maintenance techniques
• Drivers Licence
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in various heavy diesel mechanical maintenance
• Experience with hydraulic hose fitting and maintenance

Education:

• Relevant welding coding qualifications for materials/welding specifications
• Knowledge of and use of NDT techniques to ensure the welding process is compliant with required standards
• Industry-recognised welding qualification – minimum of Cert III

POSITION: PLANT OPERATOR

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year

About this role:

To operate and maintain plant and equipment. In compliance with applicable legislation and company policies and procedures in transporting various materials in a safe and timely manner.

Key responsibilities:

• To be familiar with the company and legal requirements applicable to your role

• Participate in consultative communication processes such as SWMS, Risk Assessments, Incident Investigations, and Toolbox Talks
• Undertake all inductions and training necessary to perform your duties.

• To operate all plant and equipment efficiently within safe and legal parameters and ensure that all prestart requirements are fulfilled and report any faults/damage/problems immediately

POSITION: TRUCK DRIVER

Location: Winnellie, NT

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

About this role:

This role is loading and delivering pre-mixed concrete to customer sites and maintaining the safe operation of agitator trucks. The nature of the work requires flexibility to work Monday to Saturday.

Main tasks:

• Conducting daily pre-checks on the vehicle
• Delivering concrete to client sites along with managing slump tolerance levels and the discharge of concrete
• Completing basic documentation associated with the collection and delivery of the concrete
• Communicating with allocators and customers
• Providing feedback to the batch plant & business regarding project/customer experience
• Yard duties including yard maintenance and loading of stock deliveries
