POSITION OVERVIEW: Guitar Center embodies the world’s most iconic music brands, and we are seeking a talented Guitar Technician (Luthier) to join our team at Store 511. As a Guitar Technician (Luthier), you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing guitars, basses, and other instruments, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of instruments and to develop your skills as a professional luthier. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintain and repair guitars, basses, and other instruments to the highest standards. • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, answering questions and making recommendations. • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of our products and services. • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales and customer service goals. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Guitar Center’s high standards for appearance and cleanliness. • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS: • 1-2 years of experience as a guitar technician or luthier. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in music, music technology, or a related field preferred. • Certification as a guitar technician or luthier preferred. • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. • Ability to travel to other Guitar Center locations as needed.
