Guitar Technician

As our Repair Tech (Guitar), you will provide perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications to guitars and other stringed instruments, ensuring that each instrument meets our high standards of quality and playability. You will be an expert in your field, providing excellent customer service and technical support to our customers, while also assisting with other store operations as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications on guitars, basses, and other stringed instruments. * Diagnose and troubleshoot instrument issues. * Set up guitars and other stringed instruments to optimize playability. * Perform fretwork, including leveling, crowning, and dressing frets. * Replace and install pickups, electronics, and hardware. * Perform finish touch-ups and minor cosmetic repairs. * Provide excellent customer service and technical support. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Assist with other store operations as needed, such as stocking shelves and assisting customers. QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of 2 years of experience as a guitar technician or related field. * Strong knowledge of guitar construction, repair, and maintenance. * Proficiency in setting up guitars and other stringed instruments. * Experience with fretwork, including leveling, crowning, and dressing frets. * Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot instrument issues. * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
